Trump says reporting on his health is "seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean 'THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.' They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it."

love to get lectured on the virtues of spartanism from the guy with the gold toilets
Trump: "You can give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need 1 or 2. They don't need that many. You always need steel. You don't need 37 dolls for your daughter. 2 or 3 is nice. So we're doing things right."

Trump’s obsession with me is beyond weird. He needs serious help.

Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead.

He continues to be a national embarrassment.
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."

The crowd in Pennsylvania then starts chanting "send her back!"

WHAAAAT?
Today it was my honor to present oral argument in the 14th Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas, on behalf of my client.

The issue is whether a trial judge in a criminal case can tell the jury that "beyond a reasonable doubt" can be as low as "60 percent."

The President's Affordability Tour begins with a central message: Cheer up. You can easily do without and enjoy it. And it teaches your entitled kids a healthy lesson. Also steel. That's a real need.

Yes, and what if your access to affordable healthcare was considered a right guaranteed to everyone by the government and not a bauble of certain types of employment or friggin club store membership? What then?
Rand Paul on his healthcare plan: "What if you could join Costco? Costco has 44m members and if one person negotiated for all 44 and they bought a group plan like Toyota or General Motors does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

The U.S. is mirroring a pattern that has happened in authoritarian regimes around the world. When a government erects barriers to reproductive care, it doesn’t just cause death and suffering for women and their families. Such policies are often a first step in the gradual decline of democracies.

Seda Saluk writes about how U.S. policy on abortion rights has started to mirror patterns seen in authoritarian regimes around the world.

This is fascinating: Trump is, of course, Commander-in-Chief of all the U.S. Armed Forces, and newscycles of past presidents likely would've drilled that home.

But Trump has also, of course, repeatedly and successfully distanced himself from scandals that would've tanked other presidencies.
POLITICO: Do you believe the second strike was necessary?

TRUMP: Uhhhh. Well it looked like they were trying to turn back over the boat. But I don't get involved in that. That's up to them.

Trump's farmer bailout will primarily go to massive row-crop farmers. Big Ag as they say. Smaller and diversified farms are getting something else - it rhymes with shackjit.
Trump is going to dump tens of $ billions in payments for huge commodity farmers to compensate for huge losses they will suffer from his idiotic trade war. Meanwhile, small farmers growing for local markets will get nothing. Just canceled grants and "thoughts and prayers". wapo.st/3YXdAbU
A Kansas family farm, barely getting by, grapples with Trump’s cuts
Like many of his rural neighbors in northeast Kansas, Jacob Thomas is trying to compensate for deep losses in federal funding. There’s worry and anger.

Trump: "I'm delighted to announce this afternoon that the US will be taking a small portion of the hundreds of billions of dollars we receive in tariffs ... and we're going to be giving and providing it to the farmers in economic assistance. We love our farmers. The farmers like me ... $12 billion"

Donald Trump said he’ll “be involved in” deciding if Netflix can buy Warner Bros.

Is that an open invite for CEOs to curry favor with Trump in exchange for merger approvals?

It should be an independent decision by the Department of Justice based on the law and facts.
Q: Should Netflix be allowed to buy Warner Brothers?

TRUMP: That's a question. They have a very big market share. I'll be involved in that decision

They’re clearly plugging this dude into an IV regularly and, if this were Biden, there would be demands for weekly hour long press conferences from his doctors on his health. But that’s not how authoritarianism works so stop asking questions already.

It’s important to remember there are two scandals here:

1. The Administration has likely committed war crimes.

2. But the entire operation - which now includes two dozen attacks - is illegal. In our democracy, the President CANNOT wage war without the consent of the people.
BERMAN: Did you see any evidence of them trying to use a radio in the video you saw?

TOM COTTON: Well I saw lots of evidence of them standing on the boat that had been capsized

BERMAN: That wasn't my question. Did you see any evidence?

COTTON: No, I didn't

WELKER: Isn't it possible that even the act of taking off a t shirt could've been part of an attempt to get attention for help?

TOM COTTON: Or it could've been an attempt to signal to another cartel boat to come pick them up and pick up the cargo

In this Tom Cotton speculates that one of the shipwrecked men “taking off his tshirt” was a hostile act that required his execution by missile from miles away.

One of the most insane, sickening things I’ve ever heard from a US leader
WELKER: Lawmakers say the 2 men appeared to raise their arms potentially to surrender. Why did Admiral Bradley interpret these actions as anything other than them trying to survive?

TOM COTTON: They were sitting or standing on top of a capsized boat. They weren't floating helplessly in the water
