Reminders, as public health officials warn of a very bad flu season:

🧵

* Washing hands is not a strategy for a respiratory virus. N95s, ventilation, air filtration -- especially in hospitals.

* We should have been cleaning indoor air with the same effort we put into cleaning drinking water.

It's not even the emperor's new clothes. Nobody thinks farage is now not a bullying racist.
Farage endorsed Enoch Powell’s rhetoric as recently as 2014 when aged 50 years. “I agree with the basic principle of what Enoch was saying.”
He even begged Powell to endorse and campaign for him when he stood as a UKIP candidate.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

This is an excellent read. The more you know. #Science 🧪

There's no limit to absurdity
How to buy yourself a needy malignant narcissist? Just offer him a phony, made up "Peace Prize" & he's all your's!!!
No need for a formal ceremony as he'll snatch from the box & put it on all by himself. Both laughably pathetic AND pathetically laughable. 🤡 🫣

"Winter pressures" are putting staff & patients at risk every year & should not be normalised. This #Flu is really nasty, & unusually bad in children.

Advice still seems to prioritise droplet over airborne spread, despite the #CovidInquiry criticising the Johnson Government for exactly that.

When I was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago, I did a deep dive into the literature to search for a potential cause.

The literature on vaccinations was, and remains, clear.

Vaccines are not associated with risk for MS.

Epstein-Barr Virus is. It sure would be nice to have a vaccine for that.

Not 'worse than Covid', but also a killer and associated with long term harms. It's never 'just a flu' and it isn't counteracted by 'building up your immune system'. Much of the tissue damage is done by the immune response. Yet we have tools to mitigate the spread. Like ventilation and FFP3 masks.
