the most underrated mechanic of this game is transparent walls during battles, due to the entire game taking place in a city I don't think the 3d camera would function at all without this

Type-A is a cluster bomb that clears all bullets on the screen.
Type-B is a devastating laser beam that can only be fired in a straight line.
Type-C temporarily disables rocket recharge delay and doubles its recharge rate.

even then the game is mad easy on legendary because the player can just abuse the beam rifle, in CE the sniper is designed to hard shutdown anything the covenant can come up with but it usually has limited ammo

in 2 beam rifles do the exact same thing just as well and ammo is more than plentiful

it doesn't even fuckin solve softlocks, the only "issue" that could occur from health

on legendary difficulty there is a script that sends the player back 2 checkpoints if it detects that they're repeatedly dying too quick

this is the only game I know that does this

the reasoning? someone at bungie thought players having to shake up their gameplan to account for being at low HP was bad and they wanted to make sure that they were never at low HP

this change results in the player permanently playing like they're at low HP because they're permanently at low HP

too many ppl do not understand how dogass halo 2's gameplay fundamentally is

there are LAYERS to this

example: H2 removing CE health/healthpacks is already a terrible idea because it removes any chance of snowballing, the drama coming from messing up and living with the consequences is gone

In the Metal Slug series, did you know that the male and female characters use different handguns?

Marco and Tarma use the Murder-50AE whilst Eri and Fio use the 1915 Revolver because of its slender design. From an SNK Supporters Club newsletter I posted on the other site years ago

Can't believe it took me this long to figure it out. Massive bullet visibility boost by simply having the entire bullet (and glow) sit on black instead of transparent. Better contrast against the bg.

Personally I don't go that deep when criticizing Suck To Target just because fundamnetally it's not really there to solve or even truly alleviate RNG, it's there to solve difficult depth perception and I think that's best addressed via bigger hitboxes. In 2 scenarios where I get hit due to RNG, I'd-
