I live not far from where this collision happened. 😢 This road is dangerous and some cars drive on it like it's a highway, not a street going through residential neighborhoods. Every time I cross SE Cesar Chavez on foot it makes me nervous. Every time.
Our community is devastated by the loss of of Grey Wolfe, a pedestrian using Cesar Chavez boulevard.
Last budget cycle I tried to bring an amendment to fund improvements to this road. My office is working to find funding for safety improvements again.
This can’t be the norm anywhere in Portland.
