Congress just handed the Department of Homeland Security “an amount larger than the annual military budgets of every country in the world except the United States and China,” Caitlin Dickerson writes:

Congress has appropriated billions with few strings attached, creating a likely windfall for well-connected firms.

Would you have guessed *any* of that with how the media has covered all this?

there’s something blood freezing about imagining a bunch of zionist sociopaths sitting around fantasizing about getting revenge on the ppl who made this film and then just..doing it. with no pushback from anywhere. if i were them id probably come up with more ways to get revenge, bc why not. horror
Israeli soldiers raided a tent set up for mourning Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen on Tuesday as his killer, an Israeli settler infamous for terrorizing Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, was released by an Israeli court.
“No Other Land” Contributor’s Killer Released as Israeli Soldiers Raid Mourners
A judge deemed Awdah Hathaleen’s killer, who reportedly said “I’m glad I did it,” as not dangerous enough for detention.

This story is wild. The FBI violated a warrant & took an innocent woman’s life savings. They never said why—because they don’t have to.

She sued to stop that. Her case was thrown out last week. So the feds can keep seizing people’s stuff without charges or explanation. reason.com/2025/07/28/t...
The FBI took her $40,000 without explaining why. She fought back—and lost.
There is little accountability in civil forfeiture, which allows law enforcement to seize assets without charging the owner with a crime.

I'm so irritated with these focus group tested answers about a subject that liberals and Democrats are literally being brainwashed into thinking is a critical issue.

Just to reiterate: What this administration is doing right now is orders of magnitude more dangerous for academic freedom and free speech than anything the right has spent the last 30 years complaining about.
Faculty who wrote to defend their president and object to a DOJ investigation of their university...are now being investigated by the DOJ.
The most banal defense of free speech and academic freedom will trigger the full wrath of the US government now.

Any government that knowingly chooses not to try to stop a genocide, is complicit in that genocide.
This is not rhetoric.
After 21 months, this is criminal responsibility and leaders and officials will be held accountable sooner or later.
