A) it wasn’t a joke. People replied believing that it was real.

B) replying is not “crashing out”, and no one has to believe or disbelieve in anything. Ethnicity does have a genetic component (it literally is how closely related you are to groups of people). Race science is nonsense.

Again, I have no proof of that, only your word, and many of the people replying to me did not think that it was a joke. They truly believe that red haired Jewish people cannot be middle eastern

Ignoring the fact that I am part middle eastern (tho not Jewish), the original quote wasn’t a joke. Several race science guys replied to me saying that red haired Jewish people cannot be middle eastern, which is race science.

No one is talking over anyone. I am not discounting what you’re saying

Regardless of who he was (as I say, the post was blocked so I never even saw what he looked like, let alone knew where he was from), my post was replying to a race science enthusiast telling him that race science is fake and pseudoscientific.

Well I didn’t know that when I replied, and I have no proof. The original post didn’t mention that. It merely stated that red haired Jewish people can’t be middle eastern, which is quite literally a phrenological race science assertion

As well, one doesn’t even need to be white to engage in white supremacy. Colourism in Africa and to a lesser extent among Black/non-white folks in the Americas is a very real and very disturbing social hierarchy.

In fact, you misread. I was told that the person was not British, and was simply a Jewish Israeli. And I quite explicitly replied to someone who misunderstood what I had said and stated that a Jewish person can absolutely be British.

White supremacy and colonization don’t belong to any one group of people. Jews and Arabs have been victims of western white supremacy, yet also openly engaged in it themselves when it’s politically convenient.

You do realize that this whole thread started because a neo-Nazi posted a comment saying that people with red hair cannot be middle eastern, right? I STRONGLY oppose the concept of ethnostates (including Israel) and believe everyone should be able to live whether they want, regardless of ancestry

As far as I know, the Nazis never posited on where Roma people came from (we know now that they migrated out of North India/Pakistan in the Middle Ages), but Jews they explicitly as a Middle Eastern “race” (although Jews are an ethnoreligious group, not a race)

The Nazis definitely did believe that Jews and Roma people were a biologically inferior foreign race.

Again, there is a concerted effort among reactionary centrists to whitewash the fact that the Nazis believed in this ideology, in order to make it more palatable for modern audiences.

There has been a disturbing concerted effort among reactionary centrists like this individual & others in this thread to resurrect race pseudoscience, but using neoliberal language.

Race doesn’t exist biologically. There are no “race biological markers”. Race is a pseudoscientific concept.

2/2 red haired people couldn’t be middle eastern. I responded that that is “race science” and completely pseudoscientific, racist and false, and I used two examples of Egyptian kings with red hair to prove that MENA people can have red hair.

There is no such thing as race biologically. It’s a social construct. There are no “biological markers” with which to declare people as belonging to certain races because race doesn’t exist biologically.

I’m not sure how acknowledging that race doesn’t exist biologically and is a pseudoscientific concept invented by colonists to justify their exploits translates as “defending race science” to these people. Meanwhile, engaging in literally phrenology isn’t race science to them.
