Came in to the local just as a woman said "thank you again for understanding" to my pal R. What's that all about, I asked. Apparently her drunk mom called R an asshole and shoved him a bit for cheering on his Ohio bet, and had to be escorted from the premises by her kid. Fantastic stuff, love it.

Just rumbling around like a Roomba no one can figure out how to turn off, scaring the pets, people tripping over it and spilling their drinks, stubbing toes and cursing when they realize it is the horsebot. "what the fuck, is this thing just on all the time??? scared the shit out of me just now"
As a disabled person, seeing the human pet guy aggressively pushing for lurking scares me.

Reading about the National Guard soldier who ended up dead in DC. From a part of the country that was used up by exploitative industry and left to die, where military service is about all you've got as an option. So you do it, and get killed. Reminds me of a lot of the guys my dad met in Vietnam.

I love J & we have similar views but I do not argue with strangers because if they disagree with me they are Wrong and I cannot save them from being dumb as fuck and so I just block them and I do not give a shit what they like, it should get burned up in a fire. So same destination, different paths.

Tonight's AI discussion was with a cuz who has a contract review position (non-lawyer) and was gently mocking old me for not diving in. How do you know it's summarized the contract correctly? says I. "I read the contract" says they. Then, realizing, says "well I skim it." Aye, you skim it, do ya lol
This new wave of AI bros is weirder than usual. They seem to be trying to tie AI to Ozempic (?), comparing the power of AI to GLP1 (???) and complaining that Bluesky is anti-Ozempic and anti-AI (??????).
