$20 billion could end homelessness in the US

$40 billion could end hunger globally

Both would still only cost 3/4 of what Meta blew on Mark Zuckerberg’s obviously bad ideas because nobody would tell him they were stupid because he’s worth over $200 billion because he doesn’t pay his share of taxes
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the "Metaverse" has lost his company more than $77 billion.

How the hell did this guy get my Employee ID photo?
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

It’s pretty funny that this is almost the exact same amount of money Netflix paid for Warner Bros and HBO and CNN, all that for this

This, to me is an outrageously funny thing to have happened. An organization which is 100% on board with slavery and the myriad other human rights violations carried out by the gulf states awards a peace prize for the first time (first because it is a -sporting organization-) to Adolf McWarcrimes
in the movies this is the screensaver on the computers at the world’s most evil company

Though it wasn't without some serious financial concerns for my parents that I wasn't aware of at the time, I genuinely did have a very good childhood. Sometime later when I was a teen, my brain decided to start terrorizing and traumatizing me on its own just to even up the score. It was only fair.

At some point in the last 12-15 years, I've started running almost every impulse I have through a "Is this the person I want to be?" filter before speaking or acting. I'm not going to claim I never have regrets about anything since then, but it has genuinely served me very well as a person.

Is this really the kind of person we want to entrust the majority of our collective resources to?

"We Built this City" was a hit single, by that metric alone, it's not even close to the worst song ever, but I will say that for a song whose chorus is mostly "We built this city on rock and roll", it is decidedly not a rockin' song.
Lots of takes on "We Built This City" today, apparently.
It's not a song I have ever deliberately chosen to listen to, but its status as canonical "worst song ever" is far more tedious than the song itself. It's neither bad enough nor interesting enough to be worth the performative hatred.

Get ready to wait for that new Kendrick Lamar project.

No, not music. We’re talking about his planned movie with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of “South Park.”

Unfortunately, I would need to wait for this to enter the mainstream consciousness before using the term to e.g. describe the vast majority of senate and house democrats, lest it be confused with a sexist sentiment instead of one merely slathered with toxic masculinity.
I've researched the etymology and it seems like the use of "pussy" as a pejorative either predates or is contemporary with its use to refer to anatomy. Both share the same origin of to something small, soft and nice--clearly an insult to a big tough man but not to a cat or the gendered body part

I can be both against anti-intellectualism and still believe that thinking of oneself as an intellectual is one of the most arrogant things a person can do, right?

They are running the government according to the logic of right-wing grievance media. I cannot emphasize that enough. The point is to create content, and they don't see an actual difference between dunking on Sabrina Carpenter, passing legislation, and bombing other countries.
I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.
