Even in Ireland, there’s a dawning awareness that when it comes to guarding cyber traffic, sea lanes, and airspace, Ireland is the soft underbelly of Europe.
You'd think us violating Irish neutrality in an apparent attempt to assassinate Zelensky by forcing his plane to crash would be bigger news.

For the Irish for a start.

The thing is, entirely apart from gender identity, people have the right to change their names, right? If I got my name changed to Scooby C. Freakinbopper, that’s what it would say on my passport and any official portrait, right? So why not just follow that rule?

my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

I’m astonished that bands and venues haven’t been sued out of this stupidity.
My hot take is you should not be expected/practically required to bring earplugs to a show if you're not going to stand next to a speaker. I'm paying to hear music played live. You have all this tech and you just turn shit up and make it into mush. Great.
