There was literally a crowd of people hovering as our pantry and fridge were filled tonight, definitely an uptick. Please give to a local food bank if you can.
food banks have already been under pressure over the past several years, and with SNAP benefits expiring they're going to be the only safety net for a lot of people

please donate what you can. $100 can feed several families for a month because of the discounts and purchasing power they have

One of my least rational beliefs is that if you pull off a heist without hurting anyone or getting caught within a day, that's your stuff fair and square.

Unlike the lone newspaper from Dothan, AL, which voted for Trump by almost two to one.
The sprawling masses at the big city protests are awesome, but as someone who grew up in the Deep South, the protests in little towns like Dothan and Fairhope, Alabama give me the most hope. It's so hard to go against the grain in places like that and I'm genuinely moved by everyone who showed up. ❤️
Other people have said this already, but your good parenting is shining here. ❤️

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”
Haha, I'll let you know, thank you!
I'm old, unambitious, and do not care about upsetting bad systems anymore so it's probably a good call. 😂
Welp. Opened my big mouth a lot the last year and got myself nominated as a union rep.

this is the dumbest shit i have ever read
I took a class called "The Dynamics of Poverty" for my minor and it actually prepared me for teaching more than any education class did. Kind of wish I could make everybody take it.
12. What was the best class you took in college?
Mark also pitched Gonzo as Aragon which could be great.
Haha, yes, that is *definitely* right on. You're so good at this.
Yes. I think this is correct, Jane.
Kermit actually doesn't feel right for anyone somehow. If he's a Hobbit, it's probably Sam, but I'd agree that Fozzie is better. I'm gong to think about this all night now.

baseball is the best preparation for death because it does not come with a clock that tells you when your suffering will end one way or the other

Bad Bunny responds to his Super Bowl critics in Spanish, and then English: “And, if you didn’t understand know what I just said, you have four months to learn!”
Teachers deal with worse than this every day and somehow manage not to put hands on anyone.

This is assault.
My heart is feeling especially battered this past week, but look at this little peanut.
Okay, sorry, librarian "you need to know this is a book too" mode kicked in. I'm glad you all enjoyed it!
I know they've seen the movie now, but the graphic novel is also great. Halfway through the author's new book (Scarlet Morning), and so far it's also very good. ND Stevenson also co-created Lumberjanes, also great. He's great!
What a weird, awful couple weeks to be a former evangelical kid. Man. Yikes.
Yes, Andy, that's how you do it!
