Abraham Lincoln re-affirmed #Thanksgiving as an official federal holiday in 1863—not even a year after greenlighting the nation’s largest ever mass execution—the hanging of 38 Sioux in December 1862.

Make Thanksgiving Day History
Listen! Listen to the truth-tellers who renamed Thanksgiving a day of mourning. It started in Connecticut—but not the way we were told at school. In 1637,

"The End Game Memo confirmed every conspiracy freak’s fantasy that top US Treasury officials secretly joined up with a cabal of banker big-shots to rip apart financial regulation across the planet."
The latest cache of Epstein emails have finally brought down Summers. But setting aside Larry the Lecher, this is the moment to reveal how he used his power not just to abuse women but to abuse the planet. His victims number in the millions. No kidding! #EpsteinFiles #LarrySummers
Larry Summers, Epstein and the “End Game” Memo
Forgive me, but I have to send a little thank you to Jeffrey Epstein. The latest cache of the predator’s memos have finally brought down Lawrence Summers.

All these "could have saved" numbers are low because the associated behaviors influenced similar policies at the time and, worse, continue to propel the same attitude leading to more preventable deaths and illnesses.
BREAKING: UK’s response to Covid was “too little too late”. Acting faster could have saved 23,000 lives in England according to the public inquiry.

Boris Johnson presided over a “toxic, sexist, chaotic culture” in No10, where rule-breaking seriously undermined public confidence.

Exactly the same as the Iraq Inquiry though: straight in the bin and never spoken of again, not least because none of it would’ve happened this way without the close, hand-in-glove cooperation of the British press. Don’t want to look to hard at that stuff.

DOGE did not fail in any way to accomplish its goals.

Its goals were never efficiency or saving money.

Its goals were to destroy as much of government as possible forever, and to steal data for the Space Nazi.

DOGE is fading away like bank robbery gangs fade away after the robberies are done.

At the very least, the post office could issue credit cards.
The system creates a middleman for every dollar spent — and an opportunity for them to make a profit off the digital equivalent of something so simple as handing someone else a bill.
You Will Never Send Money Digitally Without a Private Company — If the GOP Gets Its Way
Republicans are trying to permanently block central bank digital currencies that would create an alternative to profit-seeking companies.

The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

Mamdani meeting with Trump is simply good governance on behalf of the people of NYC.

When you believe in your ideas, you tell everyone and you go everywhere.

There’s a difference between campaigning and governing and “Trump bad” isn’t a viable governance plan.

A big cause is the Roberts Courts’ Citizens United which makes it legal for the uber-wealthy to buy politicians. For decades the mainstream media normalized the extremism of Republican appointees and normalized their chipping away at our democracy. The Bushes appointed Thomas, Alito and Roberts.

Everyone doesn’t mean the same thing when they post a meme like this, but there is a steelmanable version: that Democratic and Republican presidents have historically acted equally brutally and lawlessly to people overseas, and that the main differences are in domestic rhetoric and policy.

I hate this sort of meme.

“The only difference between the parties is whether the power to destroy human civilization rests in the hands of leaders who think gays, women, and black people should have their rights acknowledged.”
