It is not easy and there are times where you may feel pressured to say "yes", but saying "no" can help preserve your health and sanity in the workplace. It also helps maintain your integrity as well.

To be honest, ten year old me danced along to MTV as if it were real life Xanadu.
Might explain a lot.

For unknown reasons my subconscious mind often gives me a soundtrack for some or all of a day including songs from decades ago.
Today it was (v randomly) "Bop 'Til You Drop" by Rick Springfield and I had forgotten how completely over-the-top videos were in the 80s in the effort to get MTV airplay.

Have some important tasks to complete and gave myself a rule they should be done before I will touch any of my games. Also slowed down 3D printing for same reason.

One thing liberals, the left, moderate conservatives -democrats of all sorts - clearly need to do is get gud at short form video. TikTok, Insta reels, YouTube shorts. That's (for better or worse) where the Youth ™️ are, and here in Germany at least the AfD cleans up that format.
In a European context you get the sense that political debate that centres the predominant views of newspapers like Bild, the Sun or the Daily Mail that once had huge audiences in the 1990s no longer reflects a commercial or social reality in which these outlets and their publishers are in decline
everything is in freefall in ad-supported written news media, abandon ship, just look down those year-on-year audience declines, tide is going out

I know women who’ve had no family to go to, holidays were vacant, and normal small talk about family were awkward. No one studies that, nor is there an established support for it.
I think it’s also true that loneliness among women has historically been treated as an individual problem, while loneliness among men is treated as a societal problem. That, in turn, comes from an assumption that women are supposed to earn the company of others while men are entitled to it.
