but I wish it were that simple.
It's not just war around the globe, but current-gen policing in America, and basic "how do we treat each other".

Best way I can put it is how Patrick Skinner (@SkinnerPm) who is a cop but ex-USCG+CIA puts it on Twitter: "All of us matter, or none of us do."

Silently pressing one button over and over until the screen reads zero. The air is 30% cigarette smoke and every second person seems to have a persistent cough.

Thomas Massie is an MIT grad and much like Rand Paul is one of those folks where I think I understand where their brains and patterns started.
The problem is that none of those folks actually graduated to a full adulthood - so they might show flashes of bravery but it's in a pot of dark black soup.

Members of Congress are not supposed to be loyal to a President or a party. They swear an oath to the Constitution and the only people to whom they owe any loyalty are the constituents they represent.

In 1946, cartoonist & illustrator Noel Sickles was sent by Life magazine to sketch the Nuremberg trials. Here is his sketch of the execution of Joachim Von Ribbentrop, who claimed at trial that his boss had made all of the important decisions, & that he was only following orders.

Motherhood costs Danish women an average of $120,000 in earnings over two decades, according to a sociologist who researches family and economics. Generous government benefits like paid leave, childcare and child allowances recovered about $100,000 of that loss. buff.ly/pAtuCS0
Denmark’s generous child care and parental leave policies erase 80% of the ‘motherhood penalty’ for working moms
Two researchers found that Danish government benefits do not fully offset moms’ lost earnings. But they do help offset lost income for working women with kids.

DHS said that the woman CBP shot in the chest in Portland was “involved” in a gang shooting.

Her ~involvement~ was that suspected gang members sexually assaulted and robbed her.
After Border Patrol shot two people in Portland, DHS claimed they were "vicious gang members" tied to a past shooting.

But records I obtained reveal a US prosecutor has since directly contradicted DHS, saying, "We're not suggesting he is a gang member." My dive into how DHS' claims have collapsed:
DHS’s account of two Venezuelans shot by border patrol falls apart in court: ‘A smear campaign’
Immigration officials said agent shot two ‘vicious gang members’ in Portland, but records obtained by the Guardian reveal US prosecutor contradicted claims

You have to win using the existing system to put a new system in place.

The nutcases understood that in the 1970s. They dedicated themselves to building ground up, running in primaries, but win or lose that, always voting in the general, and always GOP.

Now they're putting their new system in.
