"To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."

Goddamn if this isn't me at this exact moment, dithering on here to avoid turning my eyes to the page on the other monitor.
One of the many reasons AI can't produce good writing is it can't hate its own writing. It can't think to itself "Maybe I'm illiterate" during the writing process. And that's essential

universities die the same way malls do. the offerings decline, the foot traffic goes down, ad infinitum
IT NEVER WORKS. NEVER. EVER. NEVER WORKS. IT HAS NEVER WORKED. AUSTERITY LEADS TO ENROLLMENT COLLAPSE LEAVES TO UNIVERSITY CLOSURE. EVERY TIME. ALWAYS.

Jackson off the money; John Quincy Adams in his place.
I'm developing a kind of cosmopolitan-chauvinism, I guess you could call it anti-feudalism, as a through line in my politics. The peasant-brained and the local landed gentry are the enemy. Sort of funny that this could describe being either rabidly capitalist or communist.

At this point I'm passively rooting for the global caliphate just so I can go a day or two without some losers whining/yelling about it.

Winter is one of the best times to educate people about car-centric policies because when it's snowy you can clearly see how little our cities care about anyone not traveling in a car. Even if you're not some activist, someone walking in winter can appreciate how much an unplowed sidewalk sucks.
This was a choice, not by the person walking but by the decision makers who refuse to prioritize them.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

Counterpoint:

The Supreme Court lacks the authority to change the text of the Constitution.

So either it affirms the text or (further, and more completely) nukes its authority as Constitutional arbiter.

There’s no third option. Art III (courts) can’t just usurp Art V (amendments).

I had no idea this demon was from 2005. It's literally the War on Terror surveillance state injected into Christmas.

When I worked in assisted living, sometimes you'd get people who seemed like their usual selves at dinner and were found dead the next morning. I think about that a lot. It really gives you something to think about. Lot's to ponder.
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

Extra time on tests is only a problem if you're trying to test the speed at which students take tests. Demonstrating your mastery of material has basically no relationship to how quickly you can do it.
"Rich kids are gaming disability accommodations to gain an unfair advantage" is actually very different from "America has an extra-time-on-tests problem" — and the author hasn't proved that either! Rich kids might just be more likely to be diagnosed.

Increasingly convinced that freedom of movement and ease of attaining citizenship in one’s chosen country is the great social reform of our time, and once achieved it will have enormously far-reaching effects, mostly positive, on a par with the eight hour day and maybe even the abolition of slavery.
