the right accuses us of "Trump Derangement Syndrome" but the thing is that perceiving the Trump administration is like gazing into Yog-Sothoth's eldritch form. The only way not to be deranged by it is to actively refuse to perceive it, which is the right's preferred approach to anything inconvenient

There is a Mishima quote I like using -- "the special quality of hell is to see everything clearly down to the last detail." It seems to be the only way of really conveying the psychic damage of perceiving the administration and the forces behind it
