FUUUUUUUUUCK.
Teen Vogue had been doing real political reporting, for a demographic that is often dismissed or mocked. This is so disheartening.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
Brb, got to figure out how to make an even smaller violin.
This Washington Post article about MAGA people trying and failing to date in Washington is...really something

Today, New Mexico launched its universal childcare initiative. Last month I wrote about it for Roosevelt Institute -- historic state endeavors like this should show lawmakers at all levels of government that Americans are sick and tired of waiting for bold action on childcare. shorturl.at/Sm2tZ

It’s like how they make life terrible for citizens of socialist countries with bombs and sanctions and then say “Look how miserable socialism makes you! Everybody hates it!” Doesn’t always work but when you have the power to manipulate public opinion, you write the narrative.

We're $1820 short for November essentials. I'm a single mom just unexpectedly laid off for the second time this year. Can you help? A quick share can make a big difference for me and my little family!

Today has been hard. The weight of all that has happened this year is crushing my heart a little. The thought of everything that needs to be done, of how hard I have always and will always have to work just to barely make ends meet feels like drowning today.

I'll rally. But god today.

Wait, did they edit an interview? Did they not air every second?

I heard that’s grounds for a multimillion lawsuit
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

The War Powers Resolution was Congress’s attempt to rein in the quasi-legal military authority that had been accumulated by the presidency. It was passed in response to Nixon’s secret bombing of Cambodia, Operation Menu, which was *drumroll* an airstrike campaign.
The Justice Department told Congress this week that President Trump could lawfully continue his lethal military strikes on people suspected of smuggling drugs at sea. The move rests on the idea that a Vietnam-era law called the War Powers Resolution does not apply to airstrike campaigns.
War Powers Law Does Not Apply to Trump’s Boat Strikes, Administration Says
The move deepened the idea that a Vietnam-era law, which says congressionally unauthorized deployments into “hostilities” must end after 60 days, does not apply to airstrike campaigns.

The War on Christmas will end when we have successfully pushed Christmas back to its original borders of December 24 and January 6.
I would offer, but my printing time is going to be dedicated to work projects for an upcoming library open house for the next, like, 3 weeks. :/

You cannot say Americans aren't ready for socialism when Halloween exists in its current glorious form.
Halloween is the best holiday because it's all about people giving neighbors and strangers treats for free and telling kids how awesome they are.

For New Yorkers who work the night shift, it can be nearly impossible to participate in political life of our city.

So tonight we’re bringing this campaign to them — starting with taxi drivers waiting at LaGuardia.
