I’m really fascinated and delighted by the way the Moon River leads are playing this bodyswap, but they’re ~embodying gender so fully that it’s striking me as unfair that only the FL has been in drag (and so dourly!). I just think KTO would not treat it as a joke and also would be: resplendent.

The irony is that 2219 was owned by Ray Capitanini (who died in April), a longtime supporter of Preservation Chicago. His parents started Italian Village.

Yes, this thread, yes! I have not been satisfied with basically all of the allyship-model solidarity work I've seen on any side (you know of what). There is a very particular model of self-sacrifice and redemption embedded therein that simply does not work for me — and clearly not in the conflict.
We need a model that refuses to require either side to abnegate their selfhood, one that promotes the actual concepts of coexistence. This is going to be hard for both sides to do.
