There's some fascinating crossover here with transphobia.
I remember my father explaining that I could never experience discrimination in my work or healthcare because if I did I could simply cry 'transphobia' and everyone would scurry to take my side.
Something which has never, ever happened.

I think a lot of white people approach racism with the idea that as long as they don't bust out a slur, they can't possibly be racist. This is wrong.

I recently went to a McDonald’s where you don’t interact with anyone, you just go to a kiosk and then they put your order on a rack, and the thing that gets me is that nothing on the menu cost less because of it. No benefit for me! Doubt the people in the kitchen are getting paid better!
