God knows I've vehemently disagreed with many politicians in my voting life, but I have honestly never known a generation of politicians so lacking in basic political talent or ethics as this one. Right across the board.

Yes, exactly this. I never leave my following tab. I choose who I want to see posts from. Period. It's easy, so why complain about something you are literally choosing for yourself of your own free will?
I see people here complaining about the algorithm. Get off the Discovery or Popular tabs or whatever and get onto your "Following" tab. Using an algorithmic feed here is entirely optional.

We never talk about, when there is such a feel-good factor around such fundraising drives, and we marvel at the amounts raised, how the State should be fully funding many of these organisations to do this work. OR PROVIDING THESE SERVICES ITSELF. Because we have a right to public services.

As someone who has worked for charities, still volunteers with charities but also someone who worked on the 'other side' in a public body I agree with Anne-Marie. Charities are filling the gaps where LAs and Govt are failing to act.
