People don't realise how malicious the 'reforms' proposed by Heather Humphreys to disability supports were. Very few people appreciate the work put in by disabled activists to resist those reforms or the lasting damage caused. No apology or even acknowledgement, HH is not a President for all #Áras25

I was one of the leaders of Scrap The Green Paper because I & my friends were suicidal after learning proposals for ~84% of disabled to be pushed into work

I've not recovered from pushing myself to fight it, nor my friends

Perhaps if the media didn't keep asking the same damn questions of Connolly, and asked the former minister more questions about why she was so unpopular with environmentalists, people with disabilities, animal rescues it might be more interesting.
Ye can ask Connolly about her record as a TD too

Oh I had the face cage one too. Spent the whole time doing Darth Vader impressions. Immediately afterwards I had a lower spine one. Two and a half hours. The novelty wore off pretty quickly.
I've another spinal one on Monday. My main concern is how to get up afterwards seeing as spine is not good.

Supports the candidate who wanted to broaden the hedge cutting season so it would impacted nesting. Was described as 'useless' by the Wildlife Trust when wild fires were raging.

Yup. They love the homosexual neighbours but have concerns about drag queens reading stories to children, and gay men adopting. Absolutely we should help vetted refugees but not impact property values with IP centres near them. Think the Far Right and Far Left are essentially the same.

They exist. They are the ones who drag the Greens and LP into coalitions of Bust and Austerity then lecture people for not understanding when the inevitable electoral wipeout occurs.

Time was they were called Whigs, then Liberals (before US centric discourse changed the meaning ).
The believe in a nice capitalism, and protecting people in a way that's not boat rocking or status quo challenging.
To them Connolly is extreme, Soc Dems too left, and Alan Kelly is perfectly 'left'.

Judi popped up as a 'left voting centrist' expressing concerns within hours of political analysers saying the battle for the presidency will be fought in the centre-left is an interesting coincidence.

Interesting.
Higgins who has been widely condemned for his often virulent outspokenness is 'reasonable' but Connolly who rarely raises her voice is a worry.
