I have personally known heterosexual married couples where one of them had zero genetic relationship to their child. And in some instances neither had. But because one partner 'carried' and all of them were married when the child was born no one in officaldom asks questions.

The idea that Ireland's "vulnerability" is a major headache for EU/NATO strategic planners is simply not factually accurate. I spend a lot of time reading the work of, speaking to, and listening at conferences to these people, and I have literally never heard this mentioned! It's not on their minds!
