Himself and Nienaber between them have sucked a lot of the joy out of a game which was becoming really enjoyable to watch around the time of the last World Cup.

Yeah, I think that game yest showed up a lot of fundamental issues with the laws.

I agree, a law change to curb runaway scrum dominance would be good.

Also, I think head contact should be red, no mitigation nonsense. If you want to protect players, then do it, don't water it down yr after yr.

I think when I watch it back there'll be a lot of positives I'll take from that. A lot to build on. Took it to the world champs and in incredibly tough circumstances made them work for it. A really good game in many ways. But hard not to wonder at what might have been.
