Chiming in here as your Friendly Neighborhood NTT, but NTTs, grad students, and other instructors of varying levels of precarity are often the ones on the front lines here. Our tenured colleagues keep talking about tenure as an umbrella or shield, and it would be nice to see those actually deployed.

Bad news for Hegseth, it turns out the Pentagon is a big bureaucracy filled with people who got there because they know how to fight bureaucratic battles and they will wait for you to lie about something then leak details about it. Who knew?
A most important question on the Sept. 2 double-tap strike is who had "target engagement authority" (TEA).

Wall Street Journal:

"A Defense Department official ... said Hegseth was the 'target engagement authority,' the key figure who authorized the strike."

Remember in May when Trump gave asylum to 17 family members of the Sinaloa cartel after making a deal with El Chapo’s son? And did you know in 2013, El Chapo bribed Juan Hernandez- who trump just pardoned - in exchange for protection in Honduras? I’m sure it’s all just a coincidence.

FWIW: Courtney Love and Pearl Jam have both worked extensively with responsible AIDS orgs. #noalternativescience
World AIDS day is important to me as I have lost people to it and I know people living with HIV.

It is a disease I wouldn't wish on anyone, but hell with the power of medical science, people can now live normal lives thanks to medication.

Also fuck Dave Grohl. Man was only good in Nirvana.
