like for day 10, I’ve used one of my older artworks for today’s post. I loved the Hekate recolour so much I wanted to see how this 2022 Styx portrait would turn out.

I do like the original, but this new colourway makes her blend in with the water more don’t you think? @classicstober.bsky.social 🏺

This week and next I’m a lil busy prepping for my flat move, so I’m using my 2021 illustration of Hekate for Day 10. Like the others, I’ve modified the palette to the red and green I’ve been using for classicstober 2025, which was fun considering the OG was in a different red and green pattern!❤️💚

Day 5 of #ClassicsTober25: Hermes Psychopompos. This stunning pottery painting is from an Anatolian grave. It is a white-ground cup from the eastern cemetery of Daskyleion in a Persian satrapal center. It dates to the late fifth century BC. #ClassicsTober

I know that he is often regarded with fear and malice but I wanted to depict a young Thanatos as mild mannered with kind and patient eyes. I wanted him wearing his “melampeplos” with a soul butterfly on his finger.
