Not gonna lie: you could teach a business law course for startups featuring several “what not to do” scenes from this movie
Hey, it’s the Modern Prometheus! That seems like a very good idea.

Hold on, I’m getting two notes here…
Conservative-leaning tech investors are racing to build a new American colossus, and they want something much, much bigger than the Statue of Liberty. Meet the new monuments men of the tech right and their plans for statue-maxing:

Gerard Butler is one of the sailors on the HMS Devonshire.

And on, and on…
The Admiral commanding the fleet in the final confrontation played the German commander in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, who goes off the cliff in the tank.

The skipper of the HMS Bedford in those scenes is Pip Torrens, who played Tommy Lascelles in the first seasons of The Crown
The Admiral in the crisis center also played the judge in the trial at the end of “A Fish Called Wanda”. And he has the best exchange with M:

The 80s revival of “Chicago” is outstanding. Pretty sure you can get the soundtrack from the usual streaming sources.

For a really deep cut, I found the LP of the original Broadway cast, with Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera in the female leads and Jerry Orbach—Lenny Briscoe himself—as Billy Flynn
That is a hell of a flex for a BBQ place — “naw, it’s so tender we’re not going to give you a knife”
Apologies to @aaronjames.bsky.social, but the dog took this personally. Because the dog is, in fact, an asshole*
