Working on a t-shirt to sell to the weird people that show up in your mentions every time you talk about enjoying something that has crime or impure thought in it.
The Democrats will always punch left with more energy and true passion than they'll display against the most extreme far right actions.
Democratic congressman Tom Suozzi slams Zohran Mamdani as "a bad example" who made "lofty, utopian promises: free public transit, free college tuition, more public housing"

the stories that come out of the ICE camps are going to look like the stories that come out of every camp system; rampant corruption, epidemic disease, physical and sexual abuse on a vast scale, a death rate far higher than normal, and medical abuses.

The reason I now believe ICE should be abolished is not that I don't think we need some kind of agency to deal with immigration and customs, but rather that this particular agency has so soiled its reputation and is operating so far out of bounds in a democracy that the only solution is to end it.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, deserves to be starved, beaten, and forced to kneel for hours until they soil themselves and/or pass out from exhaustion

I don't care if Abrego Garcia is a serial killer, a serial rapist, the Antichrist hinself. it is evil to do this to ANY human being
NEW: In first public account, Kilmar Abrego Garcia details weeks in Salvadoran prison CECOT. Says he was subjected to 'severe beatings,' psychological torture & soiled himself. Also says jailers confirmed his tattoos have no gang meaning. w/@kyledcheney www.politico.com/news/2025/07...

Just say that your volunteer security fucked up and a person died. You don't have to do this mealy-mouthed cop shit.

Utah is a permitless carry state. SLC has an open carry ordinance, and protests frequently see AR-15s being carried openly.

This environment makes threat assessment more challenging, which is why having armed "security" volunteers who lack extensive training is an incredibly reckless idea.

The armed, yellow-vested "peacekeepers" at the Utah 50501 protest in Salt Lake City opened fire into a crowd, hitting two people:

A Sāmoan fashion designer with two young kids, who died.

A second-generation Venezuelan immigrant and antiracist protester who was legally carrying. Cops charged HIM.

About "nonviolence"—

The definition of "violence" is not neutral.

What counts as violence is determined by those who control public discourse. This is why police can terrorize people without it registering as violence, while the slightest act of community defense is framed as "violence."

Friendly reminder:

The first pride was an anti-police riot where queers de-arrested each other, threw bricks at cops, and fought as a group for the simple right to exist. Stay dangerous, protect each other, and keep the fight going. THAT is the best way to honor and celebrate pride.

Storme DeLarvie was a drag performer and lesbian. She was in violation of homophobic NY laws and was being arrested during a raid when she punched a cop in the face and asked the patrons of the bar being raided "Aren't you going to do anything?"

And with that Stonewall raids became Stonewall riots.

New Yorkers scream out each officer’s lawsuits against them for excessive force and more upon their city, right to their faces while protesting.
Sucks, but at least there's a touch of morale value for folks without a gun having some small kind of armament.

As SCOTUS said in Houston v. Hill: The "freedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state."

This is true of most fash over here too. Just a bunch of fucking broken pub barstool heaters with nothing left except harassing folks when they think they have an overwhelming advantage.

They're fucking bullies. Stand up to them and they soon shut the fuck up.
People seem to think the Proud Boys are some elite fighting force. Generally speaking they're a bunch of drunk, out of shape 40 year old divorcees.

They are not a fighting force. Proud Boys are best known for singling out femmes walking alone, skater kids, etc. So that's the danger.

If the feds’ objective is to “liberate” Los Angeles and California from its democratically elected leadership, then this not a peacekeeping mission but a program of invasion.
Kristi Noem: "We are not going away. We are staying here to liberate the city from the socialists and the burdensome leadership that this governor and that this mayor have placed on this country and what they have tried to insert into the city."

Sen. Alex Padilla is then forcibly removed!

I try not to second guess protest tactics but please do not sit or kneel in front of riot cops. It puts your head at impact munition height.
