I don’t know enough about them. Some of them have committed violent crimes (the leader of the 10/7 massacre was released in a previous exchange) some should perhaps be released. I expect this may be part of further negotiations.

Great news of remaining living Israeli hostages being released and a ceasefire in Gaza. I hope some way forward is found that leads to a more permanent peace.

Any horticulturalists out there? I’ve collected a quantity of acorns from a big live oak by the house and what to try growing seedlings.
Has anyone tried this before? Any tips? From my reading it appears live oaks can be potted immediately, no cold storage required as with some others.

A tall “virgin” pine on our place. There are several of these survivors on the place. My great great grandfather may have stood by this tree. We lost one of the biggest on the property to a lightning strike recently. Anyway I love these old trees.

(4) other than some mindless fun (I could make a video of the Gators beating Georgia with an elephant as the running back?) uses? Marketing maybe.
(5) I can think of innumerable bad uses. Propaganda on steroids, impossible to discern real from fake. Extreme bullying, libel, etc.

Played around some with the Sora video editor - thoughts.
(1) it asks you for your own pic and permission for people to use it. I did not do that. Because I’m not insane
(2) the thing is unbelievably powerful.
(3) genie isn’t going back in the bottle so we’ll have to learn to adapt & live with it
