Truth.💯 At a time in history, Irish & Italian Americans were not considered white and were treated harshly. The minute they got accepted as white; they immediately embraced the hatred became a part of the institutionalized racism towards Black people.

That is horrible; I'm so sorry for both of you.

I grew up in a Rush Limbaugh home. When I was a sophomore in high school, my history class assigned us to keep a daily scrapbook of the War. Before the semester was halfway done I was an antiwar activist.

The break with my parents was permanent.
