A long time ago, I stumbled onto a #Productivity #Satisfaction hack. I call it the #Weekend3, and I think others might find value in it.

It started bc every weekend I’d write up a long to-do list and then feel exhausted at the thought of working on it.

For my fellow Gen Xers and older was there a nation-wide dulcimer craze in the (early 80’s) or was that just where I grew up?? If so, how the heck did it get started??!!

#SaturdaySweetness I discovered that Pop Wezl likes having a stroopwafel for dessert so I bought a large box last Sept while flying thru Amsterdam for work. Bc Pop doesn’t remember much these days, I simply refill with new smaller boxes and Pop is perpetually thrilled that his treat came from AMS. ❤️

This point is really important. A good reference point is cults: when the end of the world is predicted to happen on a certain date and it doesn't, yes a few people stop believing, but most double down.

The answer to the cognitive dissonance isn't disbelief: it's *more* belief.

As with Brexit, there needs to be an exit narrative (the pandemic, cost of living crisis), or else people double down, admitting error never happens even when they are the most affected, there is always another scapegoat
