Trans people needing hormones but lacking medical access for whatever reason: they're fairly easy and cheap to get elsewhere! See 🧵 by @katie.bzky.team ->
i am very exhausted by disinformation about the cost of transition healthcare. it costs less than $100 for 1-2 years of hormones, depending on your exact sourcing. presenting HRT as impossibly expensive and inaccessible to people who need HRT but don't know how is equivalent to medical gatekeeping.

The senate will vote on this soon! We need friends in all states to pressure their senators to vote against this very destructive resolution.
Can you guess which lake this is in the Boundary Waters? Mining runoff could flow directly into the BWCA, threatening water, fish, wildlife, and lakes. These are your public lands—act now: www.friends-bwca.org/take-action-no-renewal-of-bwca-mineral-leases/

"The brilliance of the people in Chicago and the people in Minneapolis: they run towards the whistles, which is a scary thing to do. After two people have been shot, they run towards them and they start recording, and they've made it impossible for the administration to lie about what's happening."

We aren’t resting until ICE is out of MN. We aren’t stopping until ICE is completely abolished. They want us to bend the knee so they can continue separating families, but we won’t be doing that. We’re going to win, and it’s bc of the resiliency of our neighbors.

Minneapolis council member Chavez: We are not going to rest until ICE operation ends
While DHS said that it removed about 700 agents from the 3,000 that were in the state last week, Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez says he hasn’t seen much change on the ground.

This article is well worth your time, getting at some aspects of the mutual aid going on here that we can't talk about all that much.

Crimes against humanity are being perpetrated on Minnesota by the federal government. People are stepping up & doing amazing things, but JFC this is horrific.
Bless all the helpers, but especially the teachers. School has been so critical to feeding kids for so long and the attendance impact of the occupation only compounds the crisis. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/09/d...

We could be housing homeless people, providing healthcare, funding our schools, protecting our environment… no let’s make more concentration camps for brown people.

I hate this.
In the last month ICE has bought warehouses in:

- Hagerstown, MD: $102 million
- Surprise, AZ: $70 million
- Hamburg, PA: $87 million
- Tremont, PA: $120 million
- San Antonio, TX: $82 million
- El Paso, TX: $123 million
- Social Circle, GA: price unknown

This is unprecedented.

feels deeply pertinent to the moment now in Minnesota where we are seeing health care systems choosing to stop providing puberty suppression and hormone care to youth. And we live in a state with legislation protecting access to trans health care!!
In an alarming development, it appears the UK Government covered up a massive spike in trans youth suicides after restrictions.

Then covered it up again when caught.

Now, after fighting for years, the data is public: trans suicide increased 5x in the country.

ICE isn't "routine, professional law enforcement"?

I'm old enough to remember when police beat Rodney King, but younger people may instead recognize names like George Floyd or Sandra Bland.

Policing has always treated some people this way, they've just expanded the definition of "some people".

I have told people to cut Minnesotans a lot of slack right now and should note that also includes Minnesotans with each other. None of us are at our best right now. (I really very much am not.)
Is someone Wrong On The Internet? maybe. but a lot of that is coming from the fact that shit is real rough right now and everyone is hypervigilant and no one is sleeping, and I think if we try to see that in each other we can avoid a lot of friendly fire right now

Great summation of the mechanics of the GOP spiral into evil and why it's terminal.

The only way out is through; it's a rugged and terrible path which most will avoid until ignominious death.
Your point reminds me of a very astute Twitter thread about shame, by David Rees (of Get Your War On fame), from early in Trump's first term. It's hard to find now, so I'm going to post the whole thing here.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

ACAB includes Amy Klobuchar
I think it's clear at this point that Amy is pro-ICE, and we need to remember that her record as county attorney was *extremely* carcereal. She fought to extend immigrants' sentences - in one case by 2 days - so that they'd be deported.

She increased HC prison pop by 20% and... (1/2)

Layers:

1. What ICE/CBP is doing isn't making us safer.

2. When ICE/CBP does their work "the right way," it ALSO doesn't make us safer.

3. Human beings deserve respect and care no matter their status, language, or background. If "leaders" can't say that, everyday people can lead by shouting it.
