The model is eh and the armband thing is definitely "WTF" but her crash out and declaring "Woke snowflakes are trying to cancel me." is definitely the seal. The only time you hear "wokes are trying to cancel me" is from people who love Elon's Nazi's Salute and from chuds so fk off.
unfortunately I think we're long past the point of "benefit of the doubt"

I'd still be working the job I work at right now because it's easy for me to get to and from work due to being in walking distance, but I wouldn't have to stress and beg coworkers for shifts when my job decides for months on end to only schedule me 4-6 hours for the entire week.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

I keep seeing people trying to play down the payment processor situation, saying it's only the extreme NSFW accounts getting sacked.

Well. One of the cutest SFW furry artist got banned from PayPal. What more proof do y'all need that we need to keep fighting the good fight?

Also go support Nakufin.
I'm devastated, if I don't find an alternative that works with argentinians I'm contemplating the worst, I can't do regular jobs, art was my job for around 15 years
I don't do nsfw even when people insist me to
my life was already crumbling and now I don't know what to do

The additional context is that Valve is still killing a beloved games studio, still tried to weasel out of making a press statement, still didn't allow a second review, and still did not communicate with the developer beyond vague references to their terms.

Valve responds with "additional context" following Horses Steam ban controversy
Following Valve's decision to ban first-person horror adventure Horses from distribution on Steam, the company has provided "additional context" in a statement.

FUCKING SERIOUSLY. I've seen the "I Like Shorts" line mentioned in many other games (In many ways) because it was just something someone made up for fun and it ended up resonating with people. NPC Dialogue can be so damn powerful in a game.
"i hate writing NPC dialogue i don't wanna do it i need bobot to do it for me buhhhhh" you are like a little baby

When you fight censorship, you're also fighting for things you might not exactly like and it's something you gotta get comfortable with. I promise you, the fetish game you turn your nose up at is NOT YOUR ENEMY. You must think of the bigger picture, you must not fall for the bait.

This is an odd situation, and genuinely one worth reading about if you actually Do care about games as art

Because is there challenging, troubling imagery in the game? Sure, yes

Is any of it like- porn or whatever? No. Not even remotely. But this is why rulings against porn media hurt everyone.

Valve doesn't like PR that they can't control, so I'm 99% sure this will get reinstated now that there's been plenty of noise about it; same that happened with Chaos;Head NoAH. Don't let them weasel out of it with a "one-time exception" again.

the thing you have to know about working with valve is that, in practice, "flat leadership" means "whether your game gets to go on the store OR is permanently and irrevocably dragged behind the shed and shot is entirely up to the individual moral values of the SINGLE person reviewing it"
love living under a hays code/comics code authority except it's in some ways worse, because it's not actually codified anywhere and it's enforced opaquely on purpose to avoid accountability at every stage
Our upcoming game HORSES was preemptively banned from Steam, with no path to appeal. The game will still launch next week on December 2nd and will be available on EGS, GOG, Humble, and Itch for $4.99. Here is a detailed FAQ covering what happened: horses.wtf/BannedFromSt...

Corporations are relying on shame to stop folks from fighting to keep porn around. An amazing way to fight against this stuff is to simply not be ashamed of sex and sexuality; even if you think some of it is "cringe". You'll do yourself a favor by eliminating your shame about sex.

Worth noting this was before the Payment Processor nonsense, so this is the normal dev-hating Valve actions. Same shit that dings VNs for years.

Santa Ragione are a well-known studio, covered by a great many mainstream outlets. Their latest game will not be releasing on Steam for... reasons? Steam won't tell them why, won't tell them what needs fixing, and won't communicate in general.

Every other store will carry it. Just not Steam.

this point really hits the nail on the head of why localization workers are so frustrated by “AI” loc companies.
freelancers have to beg for a single dollar wage increase, while tens of millions are dumped into a machine designed to replace them.
the machine doesn’t even work. freelancers do.
one of the things that makes me most mad about genAI (and there are many) is we've been told there's not enough money for hiring. but there's billions poured into ai.

so not enough money to hire workers. but infinite money to pour into technology whose goal is never having to pay workers again.
