I'm going to play Xenonauts instead, since I remember that game trusting the player to not get bored and actually give you downtime between fights and much more strategic depth anyway.

This is on top of the other complaints I have with the game, which is more with the publisher, 2K, and their Microsoft level of understanding consent. This is a problem with CIV 6 also, where each time I load up the game, it asks me to accept the ToS, and each time I say "No" because I don't

the objective, don't forget.", "Commander, the objective is in sight", "Commander, we don't have time to goof around, secure the objective" and it's just annoying to be constantly retold things you just witnessed and you KNOW what needs to be done, but it refuses to go 5 minutes w/o a reminder.

to land, you could probably enjoy the game a lot more with more time to do anything. I got tired because I played it for about 8 hours, and I would bet at least 6 of those hours were just in fights because I had to constantly deal with a fight that I was told "I cannot ignore."

It felt like 90% of my time on the Geoscape was just being told, "Here is another fight you have to do." Like the game doesn't trust you're having fun unless you're constantly being bombarded, and I think if it wasn't for the mobile base taking hours to lift off, and another few hours

is fun, fighting a war against an enemy stronger than you while getting stronger and trying to outpace your enemy is enjoyable. I don't even mind the whole "99% chance to hit" shots missing 80% of the time, what pisses me off is the Geoscape. I start up the campaign, fight a battle, then get told

Got an itch to play an Xcom-style game, so I decided to replay Xcom 2 instead of recklessly buying Xenonauts 2, and man, I loved this game when it came out, put 100 hours into it, then purchased the xpac and put another 60 hours into the game, and my tastes have vastly changed. Mind you, the game

This happens a lot with simulator games. Like Supermarket Simulator is just an asset flip (like a lot of simulator games are) but the capsule art is AI.

It's always funny when it's like "The concept was created by AI, but we then used human artists to redraw and touch up all the artwork" and all of it just looks like it was the 2nd or 3rd revision that the AI gave them.

It's worse when the games don't disclose it despite the artwork screaming, "This is just what Midjourney shitted out for me," and even if you report it, Valve won't do much because it's one report, and they are too busy banning NSFW games on their platform that aren't crapped out by AI.

We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

I've been playing Mechanicus because I really like their style, and I've been having a blast. I also started playing it despite owning it for years because I heard of the sequel and heard that it would let me be the Necrons and that made me excited because they are cool (to me)
