Touched that my Dutch🇳🇱&US🇺🇸family/friends/colleagues are already reaching out to me, or directly to my Jamaican family/friends, before the storm hits our beloved island. I hope all this goodwill towards its people will be of help to JA over the next few days/weeks/months.

Hold on tight yardies! 🇯🇲❤️🇯🇲
Who robbed the Louvre? Right answers only.

(I adore Omar Sy and the show Lupin.)
So pretty and creepy.

The orange and blue colors make it a perfect candidate for the new UIUC mascot...since we do not have one currently.

So what if it doesn't actually occur in the Midwest? It would be a good reminder that we're a global university.

Starting my lobbying efforts momentarily.

I'm trying to put together a list of resources for students in my lab who are interested in leading projects, writing, papers, etc. Does anyone have any resources they like about coming up with research questions, conducting lit reviews, or writing academic papers that are accessible to undergrads?

Uncanny how much this resembles a sloppy beetle dissection
it's dope as hell that the world builds 100 million cars per year and all that plastic, metal, glass and rubber eventually ends up like this

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

Thanks for sharing! This is awesome.
Thank you, @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social, for bringing the Flowers Tour to Urbana, IL. I laughed a lot, and just as importantly, I felt uplifted by the energy and enthusiasm of the people around me - we all needed each other after a tough week, when we kept wondering, "Is this really happening?"

Dutch elections are coming up soon and I hope enough people in NL (and Dutch citizens living outside of NL) will see US as an “example”.

(Trying to keep posts vague…bc I’m scared)
Yes, this skid and show is pretty great. And I guess it’s a slightly better democracy. But current Dutch leadership also has, ahum, certain tendencies.
Soooo dope. They look like the most groovy sock puppets.

She doesn’t need a hero, she is the hero we need. 🤩
What gif pops up when you type your name?

Some days I feel this tone of derision of my inner voice quite strongly.
I’m going to fill out “Achterhoeks” (or “Achterhooks” in the proper dialect) - it would make my grandfathers proud.
