Reposting but the reality of “AI” in its current form in 2025 is to make an abstraction layer between management and labor which is why the people trying to make fetch happen with web3 are throwing the entire economy behind it
An under-appreciated part of what makes AI appealing to people in power is its value as a responsibility-laundering device.
It's much easier to shrug and say "it wasn't my fault" when your machine-learning-powered car or drone or insurance adjuster kills someone compared to when a person does it.

People will pop up and say that as long as any human ever makes a mistake, robo-taxis cannot be held to a higher standard than humans. This ignores the fact that you cannot hold a robot accountable for destruction it causes and the American government is unwilling to punish careless corporations.

The whole problem of the AI floorplan is that a plan is a technical drawing. You can't use generative tools to make it. It's like using a match to melt an iceberg. Maybe there are ML tools that could help, but genAI ain't it

I don't know how to do it but we have to teach liberals that current bad things are not random quantum events, but the culmination of systems and policies put in place to create them. Trump and the SCOTUS are the system working as intended: protecting and empowering capitalist swine at all costs.
As others have pointed out, the founders never foresaw a corrupt president (which we have) abusing the pardon power to absolve all criminals and miscreants for any reason, nor did our Daffy Duck Supreme Court ever think it might not be a good idea to put said president above the law.
