No such thing as an "Orphan Lot" any more.

Single stair stacked flats can fit on small lots (like this 50x70 corner lot). This could be 12 small 1Br, or six family size flats.

Just allow 50% lot coverage and 3FSR and away you go.

Homies went to see The Last Airbender and about 10 minutes after starting, everyone in the theater was clowning on all the goofy decisions. Also there was a weird projection error and we had a half dissolved advertisement part way through

Everyone tried getting a refund 💀
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Chutes & Ladders has been a popular children’s game since it was first published in 1943. Before that, it was published as Snakes & Ladders in England as early as 1890. But the game dates all the way back to 13th century India, where it was called Moksha Patam.

Hi my name is JER.

I have a YouTube channel (skatune network) where I cover songs as ska, but my main focus is my original music. I write ska songs. I have a band who helps me play them.

There’s more ska right here waiting for you 🙂‍↕️

Did you see the photos Patty Murray posted?

Where are the police? Why do you divert hundreds of millions to law enforcement when they stand around doing nothing while ICE sends dogs to maul us?

Do better, Bob. Your inaction will be remembered.
My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

even in defending bikes we use language that gives priority to cars

no, tiny cars aren't dangerous, nor are bikes

BIG cars are dangerous, and tiny cars and bikes are endangered
If tiny cars are too dangerous to be allowed on our streets, think of how it feels to be a pedestrian or cyclist!
Unlike Europe and Asia, NHTSA & Congress have failed to create a regulatory category for minicars. Because they flunk US safety rules for full-sized cars, they’re effectively illegal to sell.

Only “collectable” minicars cars 25+ years old can be legally sold (and they’re quite popular).

Perpetually vindicated when the IT people say "what the hell" at a problem they assured me had a simple fix.

I promise I tried everything in my power before calling you. I'm sorry most people don't. Also, why do all the novel comedy-of-errors solely plague my laptop?

shock of the century: AI embraced by the laziest and stupidest among us
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

The CEI Hub, a six mile stretch of fuel storage tanks between the Willamette River and Forest Park stores 90% of Oregon's liquid fuels.

Everyone who works in or near this geography is at risk of the impacts of a world-historic industrial disaster.

We, as workers, can prevent this future.

Society is a construct. You can just ask someone to do a ska cover of Faith of the Heart and they'll say "$300 please" and you give it to them and then you have it.

Holy cow, what a list! So many amazing folks from Seattle's transit activist, pedestrian safety, and social justice communities, many of whom I see regularly here on Bluesky.
Mayor-elect Katie Wilson just announced her transition team, with 61 members overseeing different policy areas. Transition teams are largely an expression of values and policy focus, although I expect some of these folks will end up in the administration. publicola.com/wp-content/u...
