Sometimes working on a new story means writing out a scene, remembering that the cast has military training that would influence their reactions to the scenario at hand, and pausing work to do some really specific research lol

I've seen those "what radicalized you?" posts and vids and I couldn't put my finger on what bothered me about them. Until today; I realized I reject the premise that kindness and empathy are the radical position. That wanting everyone to have access to the same rights and privileges is extreme.

A can be really picky, and a rule I've made for myself is that if I feel like I'm being a snob about a story I'm consuming, go back and give it a second try. And often times once I get past that barrier, I actually find something worthwhile! I should apply that to my own stories too...

LRP: Knowing how to have fun with stuff is priceless...comics are so much work. Storytelling is so much work. Also knowing how to take breaks and rotate between activities helps. Because if its all discipline and hyperfixation, burn out will hit you hard.

Have hobbies. Hobbies of all kinds. Lean into other interests and things you love because they will influence and help you as a comic creator in very surprising ways.
