Someone said my art is a break from politics and for the record: my art is political

In a world where billionaires at the top aerospace companies see space as exclusive ground for white men to conquer and colonize, I offer a quiet contemplative alternative for anyone and *everyone*

IMO the weird exception some supposed leftists seem to make for condemning-the-theft-of-labor-except-art-lol-steal-that-shit is just a weird intersection with puritan "if you enjoy yourself, it's not a real job" brainworms.

"fun" job = member of the leisure class (ROFL) = fair game. Somehow.
Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.

We're working folk. And we work really hard. For next to nothing.

We're not lounging around eating bonbons. We're trying to figure out how we're going to be able to pay rent next month.

It’s so annoying how people in power only reach across aisles if there’s power on the other side. Ask them to reach out to poor people, brown people, queer people, or disabled people, and it’s crickets.

That part that part that part . We are funky lil weirdos but we can’t find the connection we seek if we aren’t that authentically!
Hate forced small talk & now gotta worry about people using AIs to give "conversation starters".
Rather just sit in silence.
In fact, i feel not enough people are comfortable w/ shared silence & riding out awkward moments.
Have good memories of awkward moments turning into shared laughs with folks.

As the holidays approach, we are still here, creating art.

As the world burns, it seems only appropriate we are making raku, if only as a reminder that from fire comes new life.

I know times are tough, but hopefully my work can find a good home. You can help by sharing🙏

The extent to which I was completely abandoned with pcos/endo is hard to quantify, and plenty of people tried to sell me WooWoo solutions for pain.

Doctors completely failed me on every front for most of my life, I am sympathetic to not trusting them. It is a hard convo.
Absolutely this. I'd add that many conspiracy movements focused on women's health exist because the medical establishment has completely failed women. I know so many people whose doctors drove them to strange behavior in desperation.
Please hear me when I say that

1) these anti-medical woo birth movements have been a primary feeder into anti-vaxx eugenic movements

2) they pre-date the age of social media

3) they exist because we have not addressed medical sexism and specifically obstetric violence
