I think this right here is why politicians, journalists, and academics need to actually get off X, not just because it’s owned by a dickhead, but because it’s literally causing them to formulate their ideas and responses based on a country that does not exist in the real world
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.
My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

it's funny how the initialism "DEI" gets deployed to obscure its own meaning, by framing it like a policy, like ACA, or an agency, like DHS. if you write "efforts to erase diversity" instead of "efforts to erase DEI," you're describing what Trump is doing much more clearly and truthfully!
when we talk about efforts to "erase DEI" can we be more precise and say "efforts to re-segregate workplaces and schools"
