I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

They should give out civic awards for this.
I hated my replacement wheelchair at first. But then I realised the metal rims stick out further than my old one and are great for scratching the paint off of any cars and vans parked across a pavement I'm using. Had it a month and racked up 3 cars and 4 works vans. 4.5 stars.

I think we’ve got better and more culturally-varied street food than I could have imagined, cool jackets galore, and drugs that make us think we’re really fast and strong before they kill us.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

This is a huge endorsement of Ipswich.

Halo, one of the UK's biggest tech firms, is moving into the iconic Willis building.

It's a real statement of intent, and the firm's move is another good news story when it comes to jobs and investment in our town.

The move will help the Ipswich Town sponsor's plans to employ up to 800 graduates, says its boss.

Welcome to new Bluesky users.

Here’s how we do things:

1. Always observe the Hambledon Protocol

2. No flisking

3. If someone tealights you, rink them without apology

4. I don’t mind them so much, but tissue-posts are generally frowned on

5. No questions

Good luck!

So irritating. "Shopping – available wherever you do your shopping."
“Available wherever you get your podcasts.”

Apparently we need to be told now. In case we don’t know how we do things.

Here’s an enjoyable thread to pull on
Here’s a fun top five: things that are consensus among historians but are essentially unknown by the public. Richard I, a bad king of England. Roman Empire, fell in 1453. Paul, more important than Jesus. Witch burning, a modern phenomenon not a medieval one. Britain last invaded in 1688. Yours?
As someone who wrote a dissertation on that damnable Frenchman; one can only hope.

Currently in the US, staying with a friend, watching her every day being driven crazy trying (and failing) to deal with home service providers online or over the phone. Things are bad in the UK but more bots make this worse here. Multiply this by 348M people – no wonder the country is stressed out.
