Sometimes I think about living anywhere else, and, having lived in OK, OR, and CA and spent lots of time elsewhere -- it's tough to come up with any place in the US that comes close. I mean, come on. I can go on as long of a bike ride as I can handle with practically no cars? Get outta here!

Denmark and Greenland foreign ministers ask, "What does the US want to accomplish?" and get no sensible answers. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHyL...

Corporate America folks recognize this. The US is being the new, toxic, incompetent boss demanding purposeless action with his name on it.

They had a perfectly good printing plant in Minneapolis, and moved to Iowa for some reason. Cheapskates — or so they probably thought. It is costing them subscriptions.

To any ICE agents reading this who are from down south—you have never experienced anything like this cold. Our European climate equivalent is literally Stalingrad. It will hurt to breathe. You will be outside in it. So will we, but we are used to it.

Next week is what will break you.
We've lead charmed weather lives so far in January.
Temperatures are +5F to +10F across MN so far this month. 🌡️
We're about to be reminded what persistent cold and occasional snow feels like. ❄️
MSP could bottom out -10 to -20 next Tue.

Roughly 80% of immigrant-owned businesses along key corridors in Minneapolis and St. Paul have closed in the past week as employees and customers stay home in fear of ICE agents detaining them.
Immigrant corridors in both Minneapolis and St. Paul nearly shut down by intensifying ICE actions
Revenue down from 50% to 100% at immigrant businesses along Lake Street and in St. Paul’s east side. Businesses say the impact is worse than COVID’s.

Two words: ABOLISH ICE.

The Powderhorn Park neighborhood has been the biggest target of immigration enforcement in Minnesota. It’s home to a large immigrant community who is now struggling to pay rent. Kidnappings are on the rise because people cannot stay home. Please help us out. Link is in my bio.

Minneapolis resident of 10 years verifying. Certainly the most acute, certainly the most dangerous-feeling given the threat has the full backing of the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT
the thing that makes the American public more complacent than we’d like, much of the time, is that not many things cause major disruption to our day to day lives

what ICE is doing in Minneapolis is likely the single most disruptive thing most folks there have ever experienced

they hate it!
The people seem to be turning against ICE, and that's probably because the president is sending them into every major population center and screwing with people's lives. Politics is often invisible, but this is not!

This is Minneapolis:

Walk into my neighborhood ACE last night & see the signage on their door notifying fed agents that it’s private property and cannot be used for immigration enforcement. These signs are all over the city.

Walk in & the nearest shelf has goggles & whistles.

I can’t emphasize enough how shocked my out of state friends and family are when I tell them what has happened in Minneapolis since Renee Good’s murder.

Without reliable media, most not-chronically-online people are completely in the dark. If you want to help Minnesota, tell people what you know.

There’s reports that there will be 1,000 more agents coming to our city. We need that same surge in residents out patrolling our streets. Even if you can’t patrol, come work from a coffee shop on one of cultural corridors so you can be there to show up for our neighbors.

The state of Minnesota, and the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul filed for an injunction against the US Department of Homeland Security today.

An hour earlier, I watched as around 50 additional DHS personnel unloaded at MSP airport in the continued "invasion".
