Kansas City car-lite trip verdict: not bad. 🤔 Could definitely use a good train to the airport, though. It is Denver-level far away.

Love to see some of the massive car infrastructure being reclaimed for bikes (thinking of the Gilham bikeway here).

Feeling pretty safe that my bike miles for the year will stay above the tornado reports

There's always the potential for outbreaks in Dixie Alley in winter though ...

DEA plane is currently circling over South Minneapolis (N6188Q, registered to Silver Creek Aviation Services, a known DEA front) -- see www.mintpressnews.com/dea-operatin... for similar aircraft

Great work to whomever put up these signs around the Franklin / Hiawatha fence labyrinth.

According to Hennepin County GIS, this little triangle is part of the NSP/Xcel substation property. It does look like a stormwater detention pond to my drained eye.

I guess it may not be a requirement if they know who you are from being able to associate other data. On this machine which has never been logged in on any browser, I get an un-dismissable "login or signup" dialog.

Update on Nicollet Ave bridge demolition
October 15, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Midtown Greenway closure between 5th and Bryant has begun on schedule today, for Nicollet Ave bridge demolition. Please be careful on the detour, especially cycling westbound.

(If you can use the stairs at Stevens, it's only closed between Bryant and Stevens!)

Interesting campaign tactic to vandalize our city with fences

"Sacred Fence" protocol:

When state actors refuse to engage with the public, so they put up a fence and police crimes against the fence.

Greenway connector path at I-35W & Lake Transit Station, September 27, 2025.

MPD seen posted today

Now that it's fenced off, I wonder, what is the intent of posting an officer?

Frey fencing already erected just hours after a mass shooting here at the Lake/Greenway connector path for the I-35W/Lake St transit station.

We have lost yet another critical active transport link to the inattention and inaction of the @jacob-frey.bsky.social adminstration.

Hi. I live in Minnesota, where we recently fixed our flag to be recognizable at a distance -- you know, the things flags are supposed to do. I'd like to speak to Illinoisans about your flag.

No disrespect intended, but -- it's a white flag. Are you ... surrendering?
