I will say, minutes after I posted this my building manager got us the message about tomorrow's closure.
Oh wow, *they publicly announced* the libraries will be closed, but haven't actually informed any staff (or no one in my union, anyway 🙄)

The most useful thing you can do is just make comics. Editors want people who can finish things, so if you can prove that you can do that, you're already ahead of the pack.

This is perhaps slightly off-color and a little too "big picture" for a day when something so horrifying has happened, but it is startlingly to me just how over their skis and pushed to the limits the feds are by one medium sized urban area.

I know this isn’t the most pressing thing, but the amount of times Mr Rogers has been mentioned in the last two wks alone is why they’re trying to cancel PBS. They told us we could be good people and we believed them, and good people are hard to control. They don’t want any more good people.

I attempted to go to an ICE patrol training here in LA this morning and they had to turn most of us away because of capacity issues and even as I was leaving I saw a ton more folks showing up
so that’s how well their attempts to scare everyone away are going, even in the face of murder
