I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

Yesterday my partner and I counted all the ads along Chicago's Brown Line for "Friend," a company selling an AI chatbot pendant, and tallied how many of those ads were defaced.
Still working on a longer piece on this, but here's the quick and dirty: we counted 104 "Friend" ads total, 42 defaced.

I'm wondering today, as there's thin reporting of more congressional resignations and a whiff of optimism, what things might look like in 2-4 years on the other side of this shit show. So much more damage has been down to people's trust in any government these last ~10 years

On October 28, DHS's social media account claimed that on October 23, "rioters" had "shot at agents with commercial artillery shell fireworks," thus forcing agents to deploy tear gas and riot munitions.
Judge Ellis reviewed the video. This was completely false. The explosions were DHS's flashbangs!
