Awards eligibility post! I'm lucky to have 8 stories and 18 poems published in 2025, so here are just a few that I'd be delighted if you found time to read!

I'll also link them below when I get the chance

Been so busy I haven't really had any time to be on social media. As much as I miss interacting with everyone on here I've also done a *lot* less doomscrolling, which is not a bad thing.

Anyway, hope you're having a decent Monday! I still can't believe it's December.

Nebula nominations are open!

I'd love it if you'd consider reading "Laser Eyes Ain't Everything", which Locus called a "sharp satire" and is all my rage and desired catharsis about disability accommodations. Also superheroes. And puns.

Your brain has a "language network" that translates your thoughts into words, and now we know where it is.

(This is a great read about an amazing neuroscientist, Dr. Ev Fedorenko.)

This is our award eligibility post for 2025. We published 18 short stories this year, and love every one of them. We hope you gave them a read, were suitably haunted, and will give each one consideration. And maybe the magazine too.

I'm putting forward two of the three stories I had published this year for your consideration. I'd love especially if you'd consider "Fishwife" for the Aurora Award for Short Fiction, since it's my mémère story 💜

Self-promotion doesn't always get easier in publishing. This nominations season--for the Nebulas, or any other award--PLEASE take pride in your work. Voters will ask about eligible works for their consideration, and we hope every SFF writer feels empowered to answer the call. Invest in your success!
Awards nominations are starting and I have things that are eligible but no pretty post (yet) cause I’m kind of overwhelmed and the imposter syndrome is impostering despite the fact that these pieces were literally already chosen for publication and wow aren’t brains the best!?
