One of the wilder political things in recent history is that Project 2025 publicly released a 900 page document laying out their plans to roll back 100 years of human progress and then during the campaign Republicans just said "no we're not :)" and then they won and now they're doing it all.

"Attorney General shall initiate appropriate action to repeal or amend the implementing regulations for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for all agencies"

What's Title VI?

"prohibits discrimination against or otherwise excluding individuals on the basis of race, color, or national origin"

Breaking: RFK Jr. has forced out PETER MARKS, the nation’s top vaccine regulator.

In his resignation letter, obtained by the Post, Marks said he was willing to work with RFK Jr on his vaccine concerns — but said Kennedy wishes “subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies.”

I'm genuinely disheartened by the lack of reviews/coverage for "Eyes on the Prize III," which premieres on HBO tonight.

Sigh. This is, I guess, a "me" problem. But nothing you could watch this week is better.

Anyway... ICYMI, my review:
‘Eyes on the Prize III: We Who Believe in Freedom Cannot Rest 1977-2015’ Review: Landmark Docuseries Remains Essential Viewing in New HBO Chapter
The Million Man March, the birth of Black Lives Matter, urban renewal projects in the Bronx and the aftermath of the Los Angeles Uprising get spotlights in the six-parter.

Set yourselves up for this because you didn't want to have uncomfortable discussions, before.

The answer was and is "yes."

Reminder: There are Christians (those who are true believers, follow the Word the best we can, and who genuinely seek to know the TRUE essence and character of Jesus)

And then there are these guys.

People who just label themselves as “Christians”

Matt 7:21-23 is Jesus’ statement on the latter.

The medium-term goal here, which most of these people openly admit if you ask them, is the repeal of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which restores their ability to segregate by race, bar black people from businesses, and racially discriminate.

My mind immediately went to the excerpt below from MLK’s Letter from Birmingham Jail. Black Americans have been sounding the alarm for decades.

Any hope of a better future will require that “Middle” (white) America overcome their obsession with upholding “norms”/maintaining “order” above all else.

It’s very simple IMO

A lot of his supporters *do* support his ideas, but not *publicly* because they want to be regarded in broader society as a “good person”

Others truly *don’t* care about his ideas. They just want to be in the M*GA “in” crowd

The rest are grifting for money or power or both
I just don’t understand his followers.
