"Elon Musk is personally responsible for the deaths of at least 400,000 children" is a stat that should be cited every time he and his pervert fanboys start yapping about birth rates
Elon Musk and the Trump administration gleefully shutting down USAID “has already caused the deaths of six hundred thousand people, two-thirds of them children.”

People throw around terms like genocide quite freely online but it’s hard to find other words to describe this level of man-made death.

I don't think I have to explain that hunting down every instance of "LGBTQ" and "nonbinary" from all government software is the result of a homophobic conspiracy theory. It's not subtle.

None of the adults believed I had asthma until I went to summer camp with RTs and did my own PFT.

Handed it to the family doc.

an RT diploma program is $12,000
I assure you, ruinous educational costs is not what's keeping RT departments in Canada understaffed
Free (subsidized) Healthcare education - medical staff not struggling with middle six figure debt at even modest interest rate allows wages to deflate, allows more qualified medical staff instead of grading on a curve, reduces the absurd stress on each individual, and means most will be OK.

The amount of "I'd rather be miserable than be dependent on medication" I've heard makes me want to tear my skin off. You know who else is dependent on medications? Asthmatics! Why is it only bad if it's brain stuff? (It's because you are judging yourself for the brain stuff in the first place.)
Honestly having ADHD meds framed as “it helped them, but didn’t fundamentally change who they are” would be really helpful.

It’s one of the main barriers to folks seeking treatment over the years, in my experience.

Not that… that’s the underlying motivation here.

reddit had its infamous 'jailbait' community online until late 2011

all of this shit was just out in the open, it was awful
I feel like maybe it’s a function of everyone online being born in 2002 but I don’t think most people realize how openly and explicitly pedophilic american culture was until like… maybe 10 years ago
Someone found an mp3 of the creepy "Jailbait" song Olivia Nuzzi released when she was 16 🫣

I remember when there was a discussion on Twitter about Shein's manufacturing practices and some apologists invented all sorts of fantastical machinery and technology to avoid facing the more horrifying truth. Reminds me of this comedian's joke.

listen, who among us hasn't supported their friends through peccadillos like the sexual exploitation of children? everyone has their bad habits, smoking, eating too much, the systematic abuse of vulnerable children in a way that wounds them for life.

Men will literally tell you not to get used to being treated well in a relationship and then act shocked when you go "okay, bye then, if you don't plan to continue to treat me well in the future."
Anyway, male loneliness epidemic or something.
