I'd argue that Fateh's experience in the legislature and ability to collaborate sets him apart from Frey, and that he hasn't exhibited the pettiness that is Frey's m.o. That Fateh has won endorsements from a range of fellow DFLers from the expected lefties to John Hoffman is to his credit.

I looked it up now. Wild stuff.

The way that Taylor has been out-reporting the Strib is both a massive credit to Taylor and an embarrassment to the state’s largest media outlet. The levels of completeness and factuality in Taylor’s reporting is truly impressive.

It would be nice if the editors at the Strib were paying attention.

mid september was not the first time they campaigned together. they’ve been doing this for months at public events as a unified front saying rank all 3 of us bsky.app/profile/tayl...

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to get this package.
Tracking on a USPS package. Last specific location is in St. Paul on 10/9. Last update is "moving through network"/"in transit to next facility" on 10/13. I live in Minneapolis, and it's currently 10/15.

They're fine for what they are and very useful for a certain age of small kids, but had I not had kids that age, I wouldn't have ever eaten one.

The Venn diagram of having reason to go to the Children's Museum and having reason to eat an uncrustable is nearly a circle.

I still think the funnier outcome for this election would be Davis v. Fateh. Why involve Frey at all?

If I’m reading Kyle right, Frey admits failing to issue 100 housing vouchers *that are funded this year because he wants to kill the program next year.* (This is not Stable Schools, but for single folks.) This is unallotment Trump-style, especially since county/MPHA are in.
Friction point: In August, to remedy Stable Homes Stable Schools' $3.2 million projected shortfall, Frey proposed canceling another promising anti-homelessness initiative to provide 100
emergency housing vouchers for chronically unsheltered individuals and families. • Many City Council members believe this is needed just as urgently, and the council earmarked the funding last year to revive the pandemic-era program "that had incredibly successful outcomes at long-term housing stability," Ward 2 representative Robin Wonsley
wrote in a newsletter. Yes, but: No vouchers have been issued yet, so Frey administration officials decided it would be irresponsible to begin a new anti-homelessness initiative - promising though it may be - with
an existing program short on funds.

Oh, they're sold on the idea that Frey sucks and don't plan to vote for him. I'm just trying to convert a ranking of Fateh.

Been talking to some neighbors who don't like Frey, but can't get there on ranking Fateh, citing the questions/attacks on his ethics. Other than sharing my distrust of Martha Holton Dimick (author of a recent Strib opinion on the subject), what's a good 3rd party resource for addressing this?

Does the cutoff man get recorded in the scoring? If so, and if we're talking about the Brewers catcher trotting up to 3rd for the force-out, I think this was an 8-5-2-2. Absolutely wild play.

I took it as a sign of the decline in movie/tv acting economics that folks like Goldblum and Parker Posey were doing ad roles that should go to NY theater actors who show up for 3 minutes in a political thriller every six months.

For Indigenous Peoples Day, check out the price on this piece in the art gallery at Bloomington City Hall.

(Can someone who knows more about Native history than I do help me with the significance of the last date on the flag?)
A framed painting on a gallery wall. The image is an American flag where each field and stripe of color is black with outlines in red, white, or blue. There are 13 stars. The red stripes are names of Ojibwe bands of MN and WI, and the white stripes are treaty dates. The bottom red stripe says May 20, 1991. The piece is priced at $1492.

Does an interviewee being told going in that the thing will be good for Frey count?

The psychology that twists coverage in Trump’s favor is transparent, once you accept that psychology plays a role. They want to be perceived as neutral by their peers, and they know their peers suspect them of anti-Trump bias. So they demonstrate independence by scrutinizing Dems and praising Trump.

There were at least two ceasefires under Biden! In which more than five times as many living Israeli hostages were released in exchange for 240 Palestinians! Has everyone forgotten this?

Also, ceasefires have happened under prior Presidents! The day he gets Palestine their own country he can be told he's the most special boy deserving of a shiny prize.
