We're still, I believe, in that space in which we choose whether this country falls to a sort of MAGA despotism or we take a u-turn and head towards democracy.

It matters that elected Dems pick a different, better strategy. Forget the fucking 3rd way immigration bullshit, from either 2023 or 2025.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

This post is a “favored quarter” geography thesis all by itself.

There are literally two large malls directly adjacent to Metrorail stations on the eastern side of the system (Wheaton & Prince George’s) while Georgetown is famously not served directly by train. (Yes, they mention bus here, but…)
Get ready for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday! Metro will take you to the best shopping destinations in the region:

🛍️ Tysons Corner Center

🛍️ Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

🛍️ Georgetown

🛍️ CityCenterDC

Don’t forget to hit up the local shops by bus or train!

If I'm understanding this correctly, the man who shot two national guards in DC was a former Afghan child soldier who fought alongside US special forces and in a CIA-supervised unit and later was granted asylum. The word "blowback" comes to mind.

The UK economy is failing because of isolationism epitomized by Brexit, and attacks on immigration.

Americans are starting to grasp that agricultural, healthcare, and education sectors are heavily dependent on immigration, including undocumented workers. Parts of the economy will fail without them.
People in the U.S. need to be paying attention to what’s happening in the U.K., because it’s going hand in hand with what is happening in the U.S., the agitators at work on both sides of the pond are working hand in hand with each other, and both have similar goals of ethnic cleansing.
