1. It’s been way longer. It was highly stigmatized during my childhood in the 80s; you had to get your hair cut or be with ya dad when he was with his boys to hear it cuz social media didn’t exist.

I feel seen - I have a rule for myself that if someone is only attractive company in specific situations, I am not to consider them a “friend.” They are “people I know.”
My friends have to have the range.

It’s hard for me to compartmentalize relationships. Some ppl have “party friends,” “church friends,” “work friends” etc. If I consider myself close to somebody , I want DEPTH, not just “oh she’s good for x occasion.”

Is it bad to be picky for long term dating? Like sure, I’d hookup w/ any guy I find decently attractive, but when it comes to finding the man I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with, I just can’t commit unless I know he’s the one. Meaning friendzoning a lot of guys, which then I start to feel bad 😅
