Yes but also "Pretty Girl Rock" in The Rover is by far the most insane one.
Best needle drop in movie history has to be "Where Is My Mind?" by The Pixies in Fight Club, right? The song defined the movie, the movie redefined the song, and its use was so impactful it became a TROPE.

This is, almost unbelievably, followed up with a possibly even dumber story about Patel’s people vigorously arguing with British intelligence to try to get them to okay him tweeting a photo that was taken at Windsor Castle with a bunch of spooks whose jobs are state secrets.

If every Democrat voted NO on funding ICE, it would not have passed the House. But, 7 House Democrats voted to fund Trump's lawless, masked goons, so it passed.

Hakeem Jeffries refused to whip his members to vote against ICE funding. Genuinely unforgivable.
NEW: DHS appropriations bill funding ICE passes 220-207

7 Democrats voted YES on the bill:
- Jared Golden
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
- Henry Cuellar
- Tom Suozzi
- Laura Gillen
- Don Davis
- Vicente Gonzalez

One Republican voted NO: Thomas Massie

Golden's just in it for the love of the game at this point, too.

It rules so hard that MS has all of their MS365 health status stuff on the exact same infra as the rest of their cloud products so that you can't even track the status of their outages.

The problem with the old baseball playoff discourse was it was all about moralizing — teams won or lost based on clutchness or whether they wanted it or not.

Replacing it with “everything that happens is a dice roll” isn’t an improvement!

Collective and in some cases more specific individuals commitment.
Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."

The acts of this administration’s militarized immigration enforcement in cities across this country are not about safety. They are about power, & they are putting innocent working people in danger.

March tomorrow at 4PM, to call for an end to these harmful, violent federal government actions.

Serious question: Why do administrative warrants even exist? Why did we create an entire class of legal paperwork that seemingly only exists as an end-run around the 4th amendment?
A secret internal ICE memo dated May 12, 2025 gave unconstitutional guidance allowing federal agents to forcibly enter homes without judicial warrants to detain undocumented immigrants. Legal experts were aghast at the ICE memo and its implications.

MOST OR ALL OF THEIR TRIPS
In *self reported* data, 1/5th (and I'm sure it is actually higher) of US drivers reported "making video calls, watching videos or using social media, on most or all of their trips."

There is *no way* this does not have a profound impact on traffic safety.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.
