but on the other hand I admit it's easier if you're a programmer. in the end it still expects the user to also be a programmer or at least understand things in programmers' terms
I know linux has a reputation for being technically demanding but that changed a lot in the past 10 years. it's a lot closer to something like macOS
I might be biased because I've been using linux exclusively for 10+ years, but I would honestly argue that it's actually a lot easier to install stuff on linux than windows

most distros have an "app store" type of program that will install stuff with one click
you can learn to do it yourself!

the two main arguments against switching to linux used to be adobe and games.

now pretty much all PC games run flawlessly on linux thanks to proton (it's better than native linux versions in many cases) and adobe is another prime candidate for a replacement

windows is just terrible and worthless
is it worth it? is it worth the effort to make windows barely tolerable to use? what does windows offer you other than a somewhat familiar environment?

installing and learning linux in 2025 isn't hard, and there are so many benefits on top. it's faster, lighter, infinitely customizable, truly free
Here is a Reddit threat that explains how to disable Copilot in Windows, which I've just followed:

We got t-shirts for Sorry We're Closed! Preorders are available now from The Yetee!

It was tricky trying to work with just 4 colours for the design but I'm happy with how the Michelle one turned out!
A t-shirt design of the character Michelle from Sorry We're Closed in alternative colours than usual. She is surrounded by the silhouettes of items she can collect in the game, organised neatly. A product example of the Michelle t-shirt which comes in a pale pink colour.

a feature I'd love to see in @godotengine.org is some way to compose multiple containers in a single node.

the UI system is greatbut it's not fun to deal with this kind of scene. since most containers just contain a single other container, the interactive parts are like 7 levels deep
their articles are actually decent, especially considering their target audience, but I always read this kind of thing in the voice of an old man with a heavy british accent and it's so funny in my head
it's so funny to me when the economist talks about games, like my two worlds colliding

I am 100% pro inappropriately sexy, tits-out designs, provided you can make me believe the character got up that morning and put that outfit on

This is definitely coming from a man who has NEVER designed an actual art pipeline in his life.
Dead Space and Call of Duty’s Glen Schofield says he’s been experimenting with generative AI for 2 years and believes it can help ‘fix’ the games industry.

“AI isn’t here to replace us, it’s here to make us better, faster, and more efficient,” he says. “It’s a tool”.
