Satellaview+ deserves more attention: an emulator-based (so far) recreation of the '90s service that let players download games to their Super Famicoms via satellite. Today there's a big SFC in the in-game town in honor of the console's 35th birthday and last month they added a damn Spirit Halloween

I think this is difficult to answer, since so many of my favorite gaming memories are inextricably linked with a certain era of my childhood. For example, I'd love to be 10 again, playing Super Nintendo for the first time; that's the experience.

Story-wise, though? Disco Elysium, without question.

One of the recurrent themes in Greta's testimony is soldiers stripping and photographing her, sexual humiliation being an out in the open policy of the IDF for years, particularly since Oct 7th. Israel torturing and sexially assaulting a bunch of foreigners should be the biggest story in the world.

In what feels like a targeted attack, I just had a mass-following impressionist follow me, and because I'm apparently a masochist, I just sustained a self-inflicted squinty, over-the-top de Niro "impression."

I can't emphasize enough how much I loathe most impression comedy.

I love these almost-certainly Next Generation-inspired maps for the Dillard's inside the mall of my childhood.

Heartbroken that, per his social media accounts, Drew Struzan has left us. His poster and album art was quite simply shorthand for imagination for countless young people.

E.T. Adventure poster, 1990. I still have one of these hanging in my childhood bedroom.

Star Wars Special edition triptych, 1997. I remember seeing all of these in the paper as each film was re-released and just felt a burst of energy those mornings.
